Well here we were Saturday morning in front of the 287th consecutive sell-out for the 2007 Homecoming game. In front of the last Huskers National Championship team, the 1997 squad, along with their greatest coach Dr. Tom Osborne. Playing a team, Oklahoma State that had not won in Memorial Stadium since 1960, the table was set right? WRONG! Well talk about a MAJOR disappointment. 45 to 14 says it all. 31 to nothing at halftime, 86 to 20; that is the combined score of the Huskers last 2 conference games. I am glad that I did not get the game on pay per view; it would have been a waste of my hard earned money. Not since I was 2 years old, back in 1958 have my Huskers suffered such a humiliating defeat at home, that loss was to Missouri 31 to 0. This is the first time in the teams 118 years of existence, since the team was called the Bugeaters, that they have they allowed 4 different teams to score 40 or more points in a single season. This team has given up on the season, given up on the coach and it looks like they have given up on themselves also.
