Heisman front-runner? 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
This season has been as cloudy as ever for who will take home the coveted Heisman Trophy hardware. Tim Tebow has been playing like a man possessed, and Andre Woodson has been doing the same... I would say those two guys are my front runners at this point.

What are everybody else's opinions?

To add a note to that I think that Dennis Dixon has a chance to launch himself into the thick of the Heisman race and will be a front runner if the Ducks can take care of business and take down USC in Eugene on Saturday.

Matt Ryan helped his chances last night. Who would have thunk it that VTech would blow it/B.C. would come back. Give credit where credit is due but in all honesty, VTech played better until the final two minutes.

I agree Jesse,

Matt Ryan displayed the heart of a true champion and while he did not have his best performance--he came up with his biggest throws when his team needed them the most. That throw he had to Callender in the end zone, rolling to his left and throwing the ball with an inside-out motion across his body 30 yards down the field--that's an NFL throw right there. He displayed his tremendous arm strength and that is exactly why he's so highly coveted by many NFL scouts.

The Virginia Tech defense played tremendous football for all but the final two minutes of the game, and I think the wind had just been taken out of their sails because they had to trot back on the field after giving up a touchdown. I just had the feeling once BC got the ball back from that onside kick that Ryan was not going to let his team lose. The Hokies really missed their star linebacker, Vince Hall, late in that game in some of those coverage situations. He and Adibi are a tenacious tandem. I'm sure the Hokies cannot wait until he returns, I read that they are eyeing the Nov 10th matchup against Florida State as his return date on the Virginia Tech website.
