Word out of Big 10 headquarters is that the Big 10 conference (plus 1) is now looking for a new, 12 member to join their conference, which would allow them to divide their conference into 2 divisions (presumable east and west) and add a championship game. Of course the reason for this is the CASH that can be made for the championship game, it doesn’t add anything else, by adding another team, just another game that TV will pay to broadcast. Plus, the timing of this is great as it falls right in line with the launch of the Big 10 network, talk about outstanding timing (wink, wink).

#15 Tim Tebow | QB
Full Name: Tim Tebow
Born: August 14, 1987
Hometown: St. Augustine, FL
Height: 6-3
Weight: 235 lbs.
Age: 19
Pos: QB

RAT 201.7 | YDS 358 | TD 5
2007 stat tracker:
Game 1: 13 of 17 passing for 300 yards, 3 TDs, 0 NTs; 8 rushes for 38 yards, 1 TD
Breakdown:
Tim Tebow steps in as QB for the defending
national chamion Florida Gators. He has Percy Harvin to throw to,
among others. He has Urban Meyer calling the shots in an offense
that could be perfect for Tebow. Then you have the homeschooled
Tebow, who will surely get tested in 2007 by many stout SEC
defenses...plus Florida State and a Bowl game.

#1 DeSean Jackson | WR
Full Name: DeSean Jackson
Born: December 1, 1986
Hometown: Long Beach, CA
Height: 6-0
Weight: 166 lbs.
Age: 20
Pos: WR
Class: Junior
REC 59 | YDS 1,060 | TD 9
2007 stat tracker:
Week 1: 4 catch, 45 yards; 1 rush, 21 yards; 1 PR, 77 yards, 1 TD
Comments:
It's going to be tough for Jackson to win the heisman, but he did nothing to lose it in a winning performance against the Tennessee Volunteers
Breakdown:
DeShean Jackson has skillz. Yeah, that's
right, a "z". That's because when he does things after the catch,
even Keith Jackson is probably tempted to say, "damn he has mad
skillz".
He hails from well known Long Beach Poly
High School where and has proven what all the hype is about.

#20 Mike Hart | RB
Full Name: Michael Hart
Born: April 9, 1986
Hometown: Syracuse, NY
Height: 5-9
Weight: 196 lbs.
Age: 21
Pos: RB
Class: Senior
ATT 318 | YDS 1,562 | TD 14
2007 Stat Tracker:
Week 1: 23 rush, 188 yards, 3 TD
Comment: He is the only heisman candidate to lose to Appalachian State that still has a shot at winning it. He gutted out 188 yard, but sat out nearly half the game because of an injury. Mike Hart has to be healthy every down for Michigan to have a shot at winning the Big Ten. If they do, Mike Hart has a shot at the heisman.
Breakdown:
Mike Hart is an overacheiver. At 5 "9",
196 lbs. he is small. He surprises people with his power and
toughness and can always bust a long run. He was Big Ten Freshman
of the Year in 2004 and had his best season yet last year with
1,562 yards rushing. If Michigan wins the Big Ten, Hart is the most
likely out of he, Mario Manningham and Chad Henne to win the
heisman.

#10 John David Booty | QB
Full Name: John David Booty
Born: January 3, 1985
Hometown: Shreveport, LA
Height: 6-3
Weight: 210 lbs.
Age: 22
Pos: QB
Class: Senior
RAT 144.0 | YDS 3,347 | TD 29
2007 stat tracker:
Week 1: 21-32-1, 206 yards, 2 TD
Breakdown:
John David Booty put up very good numbers
as a junior at USC, has a plethora of talented runningbacks to hand
off to and plays with a defense who should be among the best in the
nation. Now, this is a recipe for a national title but I'm not
sure about a heisman.
The problem is wide receivers Dwayne
Jarrett and Steve Smith have moved on to the NFL. Now it is up to
unproven but talented receivers Patrick Turner and Vidal Hazelton
to pick up the slack. Also, USC tight end Fred Davis presents an
experienced threath over the middle.
Booty may be best served chasing wins, not
heisman numbers. After all, that's his best shot at winning it
anyways.
