Less than 24 hours to kickoff. After another dismal national
championship game the off season has kind of drug on. Thank God it is
time for some football. I don’t know about you, but I am tired of
arrest reports, whose weight room guru is the next coming, and which
schools certain high school seniors will grace with an official visit.
(Did you ever think you would care about what 17/18 year olds were
doing that you didn’t have to pay for?)
Unfortunately we as fans have been duped into thinking the season starts now when in fact many of our teams are playing nothing but glorified scrimmages. Last I knew Notre Dame had only sold out two home games. Either the Irish fans are smart and only willing to spend their disposable income for real games, or they just don’t care. Be that as it may, this is the deal we are stuck with and yes-last night-I turned to channel 742 here in South Florida and low and behold, there was the Big Ten Channel. Thankfully I get to watch my Buckeyes on my couch as opposed to in a bar with a thousand distractions. Nope, don’t care we are suiting it up against Youngstown State, at least I get to watch the Buckeyes.
