We've had a gaggle of contributors as we are approaching the one year mark since we first started telling people about DeathRattleSports. We've been more than thrilled with the response and quality of work everyone has displayed, all in a focused effort to have some fun and entertain. Here is a breakdown on some of our leading contributors, which we will continually update as needed. We all work towards a common goal: Bloggerdome Stardom. Feel free to read our Section and Category Breakdown, which details the generalized focus of our contributors and DeathRattleSports. The DeathRattleSports.com Cast of Characters (AKA hardcore criminals, social MisFits, lost but not founds, the woefully confused SPORTS BLOGGER PHENOMS!):
Rolando Cruz (AKA Gotham Dark Knight): He is a big Cowboys fan who somehow finds time in between his real job and family to write articles and do a weekly podcast. He is also a two time winner in the betus.com NCAA Podcast Extravaganza and can pretty much write about any sport effectively and with an opinion on it. GDK likely sleeps 30 minutes a night, hanging upside down, in a cave, with espn radio on as background noise.
Brian Vornberg: Brian is one of our leading football recruiting analysts and stepped up big for the 2008 NFL draft. He knows the game of college football very well and especially focuses on the Big 12 and SEC conferences. Brian is also involved with our NCAA/NFL Draft podcasts, notching a couple Podcast Extravaganza wins. Judge: Judge is an actual Judge, beleive it or not, who in his spare time likes to voice his opinion on the Cleveland sports world. We appreciate the insight, especially with the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. As always, better luck next year.
Wade Peery: Self-proclaimed "The Great Entertainer", Peery is a social networking maniac, with a network of Facebook friends now approaching the population of China and ties within the inner circles of every major college (or something like that). He specializes in college football at large, especially the Virginia Cavaliers and is a staple in the betus podcasts.
Nick Meyer (ItOffishul): Nick recently starting blogging for the Detroit Free Press, which is a sweet opportunity. He is active in contriubuting for the Michigan Wolverines and Big 10 Conference and has been with us from the start. Nick has displayed an ability to bring new readers to the site, he is a writing madman and also helps out with our podcasts--notching some victories. Brian Corbin: Brian is a talented individual who knows MLB baseball and anything Cincinnati better than anyone else on the site. His articles are highly entertaining as well, as he takes it upon himself to organize his layout and presentation to include photos/videos that can make the world go round in the world wide blogger paradise.
Nick Petrello (aka onearmedbandit): Nick "brings the funny" as he would put it, both in his article contriubutions and the betus Radio Podcasts where host DamonD independently named Nick P. the "Greatest Podcast Extravaganza winner of All-Time" (or something like that). He can talk smack and knows what he is talking about with college football, NBA Basketball and NHL Hockey. Jacob Ellerbe (aka NFLManiac): Maniac is addicted to the NFL and specifically the Washington Redskins. We expect to see him pop up again around football season. Lisa Horne: Lisa has only recently contributed to DeathRattleSports, but is an excellent NCAA Sports writer and is a featured Fox Sports blogger/writer. She is a talented individual who calls herself a fan of the site and hopefully she can continue to help out from time to time. Why she is writing for us we have not quite figured out, but it's still sweet. Damon D: D runs TheHouseofSmack.com and is the host of the always entertaining BetUS.com radio podcasts--where he often features some of us Death Rattle people. He is hilarious and we look forward to riding his future fame fo all that it is worth! Ryan Schreiber: He is a Michigan expert in the world of football and an excellent NCAA podcaster.
The Super Model: TSM was built to make recruiting predictions and entertain with pictures of hot women. Editors Bugeatersteve: Bug knows Nebraska Cornhusker football and 'Husker football knows Bug. He is also a fan of the NBA and NFL, where he openly supports the Houston Rockets and Houston Texans. He has been here from the start, earning editorial status because he has a proven knowledge in how to submit articles correctly (in all ways) and reliably from his far-away location. His content is prime and he is loyal to the core. Editors/Administrators
JEH45: 45 enjoys retirement in sunny Florida where he explores all of the fishing hotspots and much to his disbelief, the world of online social communities. He openly admits bias towards Ohio State and is an admitted recruiting addict. JEH45 has lead the way from the start and has yet to find something he should be taking seriously.
Christinamedia:
Lloyds Apple: LA is the guy you want to contact for more information about anything DeathRattleSports. He can answer all your questions and is always down to talk about sports and the web world--and how everyone can unite their creative ways to fight the powers that be. And yeah, how we can be entertaining and make some flow in the process. *Please Note: If any of the above authors want us to add/edit content for any reason, maybe because we did not know where you graduated from than let us know. We're more than happy to provide or limit information.
