New DeathRattleSports contributors are often confused as to which team sections their articles will be submitted too, which we largely base on your team affiliations and fan base. We have sections for all your favorite teams, for all your favorite sports and are always looking for new people to rep their favorite teams. Thus, when you submit an article to DeathRattleSports.com do not worry about where you are submitting, just know that it will end up in an appropriate spot on the site. All authors articles also appear on their profile page and in our "Archives" section as well. We try and be as interactive with our contributors as possible, at times helping with photoshop images and such, to make unique articles stand out. In sum, we try to improve our craft through creative interaction and feel it's vital to anything at all original--especially in a platform as flaky as interactive social communities! Regardless, here is a breakdown of some of the different sections/categories where articles will go: News/Writers Block This is where many of our articles are opinion pieces that don't really focus on one topic, but instead discusses many various aspects of sports and life. Site updates and opportunities for writers also go here. News/Kill The Messenger This is where we rip or praise other media outlets, citing what we think about mainstream media and in looking at bloggers like ourselves. News/Over The Line This is where ESPN's "Outside The Lines" meets "The Big Lebowski." Articles in this section can be deeply researched articles or satirically driven opinion pieces. Or, they can simply reach out for a cheap laugh. Hey, we are down for whatever qualifies as unique, quality entertainment in this section. Blogs Quick Entries that deal more with ones personal life or realm outside of sports traditionally goes into the blog section. Team Sections Every major sports team, college and pro, has a homepage. What we want is for talented people to fill the gaps and rep their favorite teams. We think a focused effort of this nature will produce a more quality product. Still, we encourage people to write about whatever it is that inspires them at that moment. If you write an NFL article, for example, that deals with the league in general or multiple teams, then it would not go in a team section but rather the NFL section. But we do encourage a focus on certain teams because it normally leads to more in-depth coverage. Editors Table All entries are subject to editing, including as we noted possibly photoshopped images to complement your work or something as simple as a spelling fix. Our main purpose is to ensure articles qualify and then publish them ASAP and in a quality way. Non-qualifying articles will simply go in your blog section, where they can still be seen by everyone. We appreciate everyone who has contributed and we continue looking for talented individuals to join in.
