It is being reported today that as many as 20 players are to be suspended from the 12/31 bowl game against Kentucky. It is further being reported that this suspension will carry over to the first three games next year.

These suspensions are the result of acedemic cheating surrounding an internet course. Apparently, answers to tests were given to the players prior to taking the test. Two FSU academic assistance employees have been terminated. One tutor implicated told investigators he has been providing students with answers for the test since the fall of 2006. Apparently the tutor functions included doing papers for students and filling in answers for students on quizzes.

The initial report of this situation was filed with the NCAA in September. It appears the NCAA and FSU have been working on this together from the angle of appropriate suspensions.

I have not seen names and certainly don't know when or how they will be leaked...errr released. Speculation is we may be talking about 9 or 10 starters. Kindof makes me wish I would have bet kentucky. From an NCAA standpoint we have no idea if we are looking at an Institutional control situation or not.
