{mosimage} Not everybody cares, but a cool thing about writing on Deathrattle is Lloyds isn't to picky, I thought I would do an updated recruiting article because I want to.
Being a fan of Scout.com tracks to being a fan of Scout's Buckeye guru NevadaBuck (his info is "exclusive") and NB is still calling Terrelle Pryor to the Buckeyes. NB calls it a done deal. Over the years we have been excited about an incomng recruit, but in these days of the web, and with the Buckeyes, I have never seen the excitement people feel TP would bring to the Bucks. This weekend the Buckeyes will be hosting Josh Jenkins for his official visit. Josh is a soft verbal commit to West Virginia and has been forever. This week Josh was named the West Virginia Gatoraide player of the year. JJ is an offensive guard and I believe the Scout.com #1 guard recruit. NB is calling a committment to Coach Tressel and the Buckeyes a done deal. Never having seen JJ play I believe he is a roadgrader type of drive blocker. If this happens JJ will join Big Mike Adams, Michael Brewster, and Texas native JB Shugarts as Olinemen commits. Shugarts, Brewster, and Adams knew each other prior to the spring game. I believe JJ didn't know these boys at that time. It has been described to me that at the spring game, on the field, initially JJ was not part of the group, but after awhile he was right in there with the boys. Mike Adams will be there this weekend for the JJ visit. I speculate that if indeed the Buckyes receive a commit from JJ you can not only congratulate the coaching staff, but also recognize the importance of relationships. We shall see. Also taking his official this weekend is Glendale athlete Cordale Scott. I do not know if Scott will be a wideout or a safety. Not mentioned by NB on scout today, from all I can see Scott will join this class as the most recent Glendale star to be a Buckeye. Nevada also reports that the Buckeyes will be receiving an early commit from DT Johnny Simon for 2009. As we have previously discussed on Deathrattle Simon is said by some to be the best high school player in Ohio this year as a junior. If this would play out Simon would join LBs Storm Klein and Jordan Whiting as 2009 recruits If you are a Buckeye, all of this would be cool, if it happens.
