Startling pics that show just how badly Tressel outfoxed Michigan's offensive coaches in The Game.
As a Michigan fan, these pictures are almost too painful to post. But you know what? They needed to be shown. I have long subscribed to the belief that Michigan has had top 5-10 talent just about every year, especially on offense, and that the coaching staff is the reason for the program's underachievement.
{mosimage} While the defense hasn't been great except for most of 2006 since 1997, the offense has been the biggest problem. In these pictures, we see Michigan attempt to execute their half-baked idea of a zone stretch play and Ohio State defenders easily jumping the gaps and blowing up the play. OSU hadn't seen it last year, but this year they were ready for it. And then some. Of course, Michigan continued to run the same play over and over again most of the game despite a hobbling Mike Hart and no blocking. Now you know why Michigan fans complain so much.
