{mosimage} I just watched the HBO documentary on the OSU-Michigan rivalry. I will say this, half of it was good, while the other half made me want to vomit. It's Michigan Week and the sting of last week's upset loss to Illinois should now be a distant memory for Buckeye fans. Nothing else matters when Ohio plays that school up north (tsun). Nothing. My old film teacher used to say that the key to a good story is the stakes have to be high. Well, by definition, this rivalry is the equivalent of a good ol' t-bone---rare and bloody please. But this years rivalry brings additional add-ons free of charge. Probably no chance for a championship spot like last year, but drama will be abound for good reason.
Tressel vs. Carr - Outright Big Ten Champs - Retirement Lloyd Carr is Jim Tressel's bitch, as indicated by his 1-5 record against Tressel. Now there is strong talk of Lloyd Carr retiring and Les Miles looking for houses in the state known for its pungent odor (Please, please, please hire that moron!). Nothing would make Carr happier than a win over Ohio State and outright Big Ten title. It would be a storybook ending. Too bad that's not how the real world works sometimes. For Tressel, this would give him his 3rd straight Big Ten title, the 3rd outright title for OSU in 20 years. The winner goes to the Rose Bowl. There is still an outside shot OSU could sneak into the championship game, given the fact that Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas all will still play each other. Also, LSU has the SEC title game to play yet, plus a tricky one against Arkansas. WVU has a couple tough games left, including Cincinnati this week and Oregon plays rival Oregon State. This is a game the Ducks clearly should win. But as the OSU-tsun rivalry has proven, expectations can grow cloudy in rival games. But I digress because none of the BCS nonsense matters this week. Tressel has not been to the Rose Bowl since he was an assistant at Ohio State under Earle Bruce. Carr has been to the Rose Bowl several times recently, always registering losses as they continually embarrass the Big 10 with lazy performances. Sure, not Appalachian State fiascos but really shitty none-the-less. Fucking Traitors Growing up during the John Cooper era, it always made sense why Ohio boys rooted for tsun; they were better. Even when they weren't, they were by continually pulling off upsets over some of the most talented Ohio State teams I've seen. Two of my best friends were tsun fans. The place I practically grew up in (besides my actual home) was filled with traitors and football coaches to make matters worse. In their basement they had a Bo and Woody poster. My friends dad has a story where he was supposed to intern for the Ohio State football team but some paper work was misplaced and he had to go somewhere else and he became a tsun fan after that. So, what I'm trying to say is there are 3 types of tsun fans, those who jumped on the bandwagon in the 80's and 90's, those who have a chip on their shoulder and want to rebel and those who were unfortunately raised by those who jumped on the bandwagon and/or have a chip on their shoulder. I also have a chip on my shoulder, but instead of taking it out on my HOME STATE I focus on ESPN and other corporate fuck sticks. But hey, that's just me. Tsun is filled with elitist pieces of shit. But in reality, their football team is dumber than Ohio State's these days--as gracefully noted by legend Jim Harbough of the "Fighting Harbough's" at Stanford. Now there is a coach I don't want tsun to hire. The funny part about tsun (which is easy to find from Ohio--just go north 'til you smell it, west until you step in it) is their program would not be shit if not for Ohio boys. Their best coach, Bo Schemblechlor--Elitist Traitor Piece of Shit. Their last two Heisman Trophy Winners Desmond Howard and Charles Woodson---Elitist Traitor Pieces of Shit. And the list goes on and on. But hey, thanks for championship QB Craig Krenzel. We appreciate that. Also, thanks for DE Vernon Gholston who you chumps supposedly did not want because he was a "project." Yeah, projected at #15 overall in next year's draft. You better hope he leaves early. Ohio is a hotbed for high school talent while tsun is a hotbed for stinky poo and some great basketball players out of the Detroit area. The ones who want to win either go to Michigan State or out of state. Conclusion I hate tsun. But that's not much of a conclusion. As far as this year's game, I think it will be really tough for OSU to pull this one out in the biggest whore of a college town known to man, Ann Arbor. Carr, because he is a spineless tool, rested Mike Hart the entire game against Wisconsin and Chad Henne the majority of the game too. Their health will play a huge role. OSU's D-Line was exposed against Illinois, which has caused reason for me to worry. Despite all of that, I still think OSU's D is much better than tsun's. I also think OSU's offense has been more consistent. Chris Wells is the only healthy RB, which sucks and he is actually hobbled too, but Ohio State will overcome these obstacles while playing in the Shit House. Wells will be healthy enough to run for over 100 yards and Boeckman will scramble all over the tsun D. It will be close but Carr won't fulfill his dream ending. Tressel prevails and improves to 6-1 against tsun. HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! Ohio State- 38 tsun- 34

| Nick: It appears Lloyds is ready for game day. You have also impressed me as one who can reasonably discuss your team and your coaches, although I still believe you were dropped on your head as a baby. Anyhow, it seems Lloyds has thrown the first punch and I am interested in your thoughts. Go Bucks! | |
