{mosimage}It is much more fun putting an article on DeathRattle after a victory as opposed to a loss, but anyway..... My impressions from last Saturday is that the Buckeyes sucked. Yes, the refs may have sucked worse, but the Bucks sucked. Not getting the ball back late in the 4th to me negates all excuses, including the refs. As the season progressed I was getting the impression that certain facets of the Buckeyes game were being exposed. Interior line play along with the linebackers had a tough time in Happy Valley. To me, that appeared to be a concern. I hoped as people healed that would improve. Against Wisconsin it concerned me as to the success Donavan had when he had time, especially on 3rd downs. Yes, I was happy to see Boeckman tuck the ball and run against Wisconsin, but I was concerned re the pressure he was getting against a four man rush. Regardless of sack standings, and regardless of the number of sacks we got on Wisconsin's Donavan, was I convinced we could get pressure on the QB without blitzing-no. I guess what I am saying is as the competition got better, I could see weaknesses, especially with the injuries. At the same time, as I surveyed the college landscape I didn't see a team that didn't have weaknesses so I felt better as a Buckeye fan. I do believe a weak schedule helped set the Bucks up for last Saturday. Has Boeckman got away with throwing into double coverage prior to Saturday-yep. Did he get get away with it Saturday-nope. An example as to what I mean is when Boeckman scrambled to his left and tried to hit his receiver on the sideline. The corner made a great play and got back to the ball for an interception. My point or thought is how many corners have we faced this year who could have made that play? My belief is in most of our games we would have completed that pass and Boeckman would be proclaimed by the media as the next year Heisman contender. Against most teams this our line protected the QB and opened holes. Didn't happen Satuday. Enough of this crap. Michigan week. I would admit some of the shine is missing for me, at this time. I can only hope the team can bounce back. I suppose like most games when both teams have talent, it comes down to who wants the game the most. As a fan I hope the Buckeyes are the aggressor. Both teams have much to play for. Could it be Lloyd's last game? Will Hart be 0-4? Health is such a big deal this time of the year and both teams will strap it up with people who play key roles that are not healthy. Both teams are coming off a loss. This game is for the Big Ten title and the Rose Bowl. Kind of getting excited just thinking about it. Go Bucks!
