Sorry for the delay, but I wrote two BIG articles about the upcoming NBA season, so this article was pushed back. Well, we have some movement in the rankings for week number 10, a couple teams dropped out and have been replaced. One replacement is making their second appearance here in the bottom 5, which just shows how much determination can pay off. So without further delay here are the bottom 5 in reverse order.

Number 5 - Notre Dame "Crying Irish" kept their 5^th sport by virture of having a bye week last week. Their upcoming game this Saturday is a real "toss-up" as they are playing 4-4 Navy. Who has not beaten Notre Dame since 1963 an NCAA record of 43 straight games in fact Navy has not forced Notre Dame to punt since 2004.

Number 4 - Northern Illinois "Muskies" - This team is really bringing it's "A" game the last couple of weeks. After being smashed by Wisconsin 44-3, they came out last week and lost to Powerhouse Toledo by the score of 70-21. Next loss at home against Kent State.

Number 3 - Rice "Owlette" - Making a reappearance in the bottom 5 with a tremendous loss to Previous number 2 Marshall 34 - 21, stretching their record to 1-7 on the season, with that lone win being a 2 pointer against Southern Mississippi. Next loss is Saturday at home against Texas El-Paso.

Number 2 - Utah State "maggies" Lost to Louisiana Tech 31-21 going to 0-8 on the season. Next loss will be this Saturday against Fresno State out in California

Number 1 - Florida International "yellow cats" - For the 4^th straight week the "cats" have been the worst of the worst as they stretched their streak to 21 straight and cemented their ranking as number 1 with a 58 - 10 Smashing at the hands of the Arkansas in a non-conference match-up. Next up is fellow conference power house Arkansas State in Arkansas

Droping out Nebraska and Marshall. See you next week...

	ND has the top recruiting class. Charlie Weis has guaranteed that teams "won't want to play Notre Dame in 3 years." Ooooohhhh, intimidating. Prediction: If ND loses to Navy, they'll pick up 3 more 5 star recruits...one of which will be from Nebraska.
