{mosimage}We are at the midway point of this NFL season with some good games in store for week 8. Will the Patriots and Colts remain undefeated after Sunday? Can the Rams and Dolphins actually win a game this week? Check out my picks fir week 8.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Carolina Panthers

The only way Peyton Manning and company loses to the Panthers is if they get caught looking ahead to the potential battle of the undefeated teams against the Patriots next week.

PICK: Colts

Cleveland Browns vs. St. Louis Rams

I can’t believe how bad the Rams are this season. I really thought that they would be a big time NFC contender with Steven Jackson, Marc Bulger, and Torry Holt on the offensive side of the ball. Oh well, it doesn’t look like they will win this week when the Dawg Pound comes to town.

PICK: Browns

New York Giants vs. Miami Dolphins

The London Bowl looked better in the preseason, before we all got a chance to see how horrible the Dolphins are. The Giants win big overseas and improves to 6-2.

PICK: Giants

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Minnesota Vikings

Most people, even myself, predicted the Eagles to be the best team in the NFC East. Wrong! They are struggling on both sides of the ball and travel to Minnesota to face off against a dangerous rookie running back, Adrian Peterson.

PICK: Vikings

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals

The Steelers are upset after being upset by the Broncos last Sunday night and can’t wait to get on the field against the Bengals. Chad Johnson and crew didn’t expect to be struggling this season. They will continue to struggle Sunday against Pittsburgh.

PICK: Steelers

Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears

The Bears really think they have a good thing going after beating the Eagles at the last second last week. Detroit is a surprising 4-2 and is very dangerous with Kitna connecting with Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams. However, it will be tough for the Lions to win this one on the road.

PICK: Bears

Oakland Raiders vs. Tennessee Titans

The Raiders are improving and eventually will be a competitive team in the AFC. For now, they face an uphill battle against the Titans who are destined to be in the playoffs this season. PICK: Titans

Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets

Honestly, I would rather watch Blues Clues with my daughter than tune into this game. Both teams are bad with the Jets being worse. So with that, I pick the Bills.

PICK: Bills

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

David Garrard’s injury will make it harder for the Jaguars to go to Tampa and beat the Bucs on Sunday. Head Coach John Gruden has his boys playing pretty good despite the injury to Cadillac Williams.

PICK: Buccaneers

Houston Texans vs. San Diego Chargers

The Chargers are a better team, but they have a lot on their minds with what’s going on in San Diego with the wild fires. On top of all that, the Chargers home game is most likely going to be played in Houston, giving the Texans more of an advantage.

PICK: Texans

New Orleans Saints vs. San Francisco 49ers

It looks like the Saints have found their mojo, winning two straight. San Francisco is struggling and hopes to get Alex Smith back this week from injury. I don’t think Smith’s return will help the 49ers. PICK: Saints

Washington Redskins vs. New England Patriots

Forget about the Pats being 16 point favorites against the Skins. There is no way New England will score over 40 points against that defense. However, they still are the better team.

PICK: Patriots

Green Bay Packers vs. Denver Broncos

The Packers, led by the ageless Brett Farve, will bring their 5-1 record into Denver where the Broncos are high off of their win against the Steelers last Sunday night. Green Bay may face some adversity against the Broncos who are clearly better than their record.

PICK: Broncos
