1. The early line favors OSU by 3 points.

2. Penn State DE Maurice Evans was defensive Big Ten Player of the Week.

3. Penn state leads the nation in sacks. MSU was 4th.

4. Penn State players out for the OSU game are: FB Matt Hahn, RB Austin Scott(legal issues), DE Hayes, LB Bowman, and DT Odrick.

5. Indiana had approx. 400 yards and scored 31 points against Penn State last Saturday.

6. Penn State CB Justin King had his problems with Indiana's James Hardy last Saturday. Hardy had 14 receptions for 142 yds., with 2 TD'S. King may not be healthy. He had 9 tackles last Saturday.

7. OSU players of the week were: Offense-Beanie Wells; Defense-Malcolm Jenkins; Special teams-Shaun Lane; Attack Force-Vern Gholston; Olineman-Kirk Barton: Scout Team Offense and special teams-Boom Herron; and Scout on Defense-Chris Rietschlin.

8. OSU is showing recruiting interest in DE Gregg Scruggs. Scruggs is playing his first year of football for Cinc. ST. Xavier. Scruggs is 6'5" and weighs 225. Prior to this year Scruggs was in the band.

9 OSU had a "Golden" basketball weekend as Coach Matta received a verbal from Georgia point guard Trae Golden. Golden is ranked by Scout.com as the 9th best player nationally. On Tues. OSU is expected to receive a verbal from Cleveland native Cameron Wright. Wright is a shooting guard and is 6'4". Both Golden and Wright are for the 2010 recruiting class.
