Holy Shit we're famous. Well, maybe not. But listen to "Damon D" and his podcast over at BetUS.com and you'll hear why they are top notch. He called upon some fellow DeathRattlers to provide some insight and predictions on a crazy college football season. With short notice we think everyone pretty much nailed and we expect more of this next week and down the line. Thanks to everyone involved, you know who you are. To anyone who may want to join in, call (407) 247-9664 or email This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it and we'll see what we can do. Thanks again and enjoy: http://radio.betus.com/2007/10/18/ncaa-football-podcast-episode-8-a-different-opinion/ Also wanted to add that I was checking out Damon D's site over at http://ufc-fights.com/ and it is freaking sweet! We have to brush up on the MMA info 'round here.
We also have cut and pasted a submission from our resident old person, JEH45. Sorry you were left out, we know you have a face for radio. JEH45 says... Yesterday, Thursday, Lloyds and a couple of the DeathRattle boys did a podcast regarding DeathRattle and this weekend's games. I don't really know much about this podcast other than it involved one of the DeathRattle affiliates, and it didn't involve Bugeater or myself. Apparently, the podcast host wasn't interested in the kindof mature and seasonned analysis that guys like Bugeater and myself could give. Instead the podcast host was more interested in guys doing the podcast while between classes and scarfing down some mac & cheese. Of course if it would have been Bugeater or I we would have not been between classes and would have had to watch what we drank before the podcast so we would not have had to pee during the podcast. Anyhow, crap aside, congrats Lloyds and you guys. We've all been here basically since the start and the exposure from this podcast will be great! Congrats! PS. Rumor has it that this initial podcast may only be the first with more to follow. Bugeater, you and I can just hope that Lloyds and the boys will just remember us when........

JEH45-- I'm not trying to start a fight here, but your comments are way out of line and it was an unprovoked attack on another one of our writers. Maybe you don't understand the words Team, my friend. When you're on a team--you make sacrifices for the good of the collective. I think you and Bugeater have great analysis and I respect both of your guys opinions' on this site very much. I love reading everybody's articles on here--because we are part of the deathrattle team and I want to see this site prosper and grow. You offer an incredible amount to the site--recruiting wise and college football wise and your knowledge of the Buckeyes is very good. I love reading Bugeaters columns about Nebraska football, he has a tremendous knowledge of the Cornhusker program and I really enjoy his insight and analysis. The biggest thing is Damon was looking for a variety of perspectives and having two OSU guys--might have been a little crowded. There were only so many people you could have on the radio at one time and Lloyds made the call to go with us. There will be plenty of more opportunities for everybody to gain exposure and I am more than willing to sit on the bench one weekend to give somebody else like Brian Vornberg(hook em), or you guys some air time. That's not a problem with me and I would be happy rotating out, that's part of being on a team. Everybody here needs to try and be happy for the site and just have faith that your opinions will be heard one way or another--whether it is through an article or through the airwaves. It is understandable that you want some air time, but I won't tolerate anybody attacking a person that I recruited to this site in the first place. Nick Petrello, onearmedbandit, is one of the most brilliant people I have ever met and his sports knowledge is vast and his analysis always makes good sense to me. He even disagreed wth me in the cast about the USC pick, but his disagreement was good because he made good points. I brought Nick and Brian here because I know they know their stuff about sports and they will bring fresh analysis and perspective. The Mac and Cheese comment was pretty ridiculous, because I mean we're not curing cancer here man. It added a little bit of humor to the cast and was a good change of pace--in my opinion--even though it was unintentional. I'm not sure what you are talking about having to pee in the cast, but I never heard anything like a flushing toilet...lol. In this world you have to have a sense of humor or you are never going to get through life. So to sum it all up, don't attack other writers on this site when they get exposure on a podcast, that's the equivalent of a receiver screaming at the quarterback for not throwing him the ball even though his team scored. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future, so relax and wait your turn. We're all part of a team here guys. feel free to drop me an e-mail at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it if you have any other issues. | I can only assume the JEH was joking, although it's easy to misconstrue the message as passive aggressive backhanded compliments. Hard to convey emotion over the internet, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one, especially since Lloyd's says he was joking. As for the mac and cheese thing, a man's gotta eat! | |

| Boys! C'mon now! Theres plenty of Damon D to go around! lol! Seriously tho...that was a frickin fun time, your all comin back on the show, going to work out the details next week. And I also believe that in my vast experience of pretending to be a radio show host, I've never had the honor of sharing my air time with a dude making Mac n cheese, that was the most authentic 30 seconds of radio I've heard in years. Next week, I'm bringing the baloney taco's, whose got the mayonnaise sandwiches? | |
