{mosimage}We've already covered the #1 thing. We have also covered the 2009 commit of Storm Klein. On the heels of this stuff there are additional things coming from Buckeye land.
Looking at the two deep we see Anderson Russell is listed with the ones. The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting from Russell that he will play against MSU this weekend. We can only hope this is true and he will perform as he can.
Thaddeus Gibson is not in the two deep. He did play Saturday, but other than in mop up duty I didn't see him at DE. Guessing there is a lesson thing going on here. Ross Homan is not in the two deep. He has been replaced by true freshman Brian Rolle. I consider the loss of Homan to be significant even in light of Marcus Freeman recent games. Homan is a player. Rolle is fun to watch, but is a freshman. We do have some pretty important stuff ahead of us. Love to get Homan back. Antonio Henton was at the Peach County, Georgia game last Friday night. Presently awaiting trial, this time has to be tough on Antonio. Wish we could see some resolution to this. Some insiders around Scout.com are indicating QB Terrelle Pryor is close to being a Buckeye. To my knowledge every Buckeye fan is tickled pink with the 2008 recruiting class, limited in numbers as it is. OSU is only recruiting one QB for the 2008 recruiting class and Pryor would be the cats ass. The same insiders are reporting OSU as being in great shape with 2009 DT Johnny Simon. For some time now Simon has been described by many as the best recruit in Ohio this year regardless of class. Have not seen him play, but his style is described as a throwback to an earlier time. The prediction that I have seen is a verbal may come as soon as the ending of the high school season. I'm sure the Bucks were thrilled with the very early 2009 commits in Jordan Whiting and Storm Klein, and would be ecstatic if Johnny Simon got on this train. Last in the tidbit category a rumor has been out there that Michigan verbal TE commit Brandon Moore may be reconsidering his commit and may be considering the Bucks. I have read comments from Moore putting these rumors to bed. I have also read this evening wherein the same Scout.com insider has stated Moore is not being truthful as he has initiated contact with the OSU coaches. Intrigue in recruiting-how about that. Moore was not offered by the Bucks.

if osu gets pryor they will be flat-out insane in the coming years. fans across the nation had better hope UM gets new coaches or at least a new offensive coordinator by then or it will be near-impossible to keep osu out of the title game. michigan has the offensive talent to blow people out with mallett and mcguffie and tons of WR's and TE's but I question why we recruit all these guys when we have no idea how to use them at the present time. I personally wanna see Pryor go to PSU but if not, well, it'll keep the rivalry strong and that's not a terrible thing, and maybe itll help OSU win those tough ass OOC games against the likes of USC and Miami (if they rebound) coming up |

Lamar Thomas is expected to announce soon as he has apparently already made up his mind. This RB/WR prospect narrowed his final 3 to Maryland, OSU and Illinois. UF and Tenn. are no longer considered. He is recruited by OSU as a WR. Expected to be an Ohio State lean. Rumor has it that Pryor has been pushing Thomas towards Ohio State. |

| if UM gets a new coach and OSU gets Pryor we could have the most important stretch in the rivalry ever...no more playing mostly for Big Ten titles, the national title game would be on the line most every year because with mallett and mcguffie and all the osu talent plus tresselball both teams will blow through the big ten most years | |

PRYOR! PRYOR! PRYOR! Lets break down the IFs. IF OSU lands PRYOR's commitment this year (unlikely), it will be huge for recruiting this year especially on the offensive side of the ball. Expect commitments from Floyd, Scott (DB/WR), Thomas and Maybe Jarboe. His commitment may sway some other committed players such as the speedy DJ Woods. IF OSU lands PRYOR's Commitment, Mich will have to recruit exeptionally talented Defensive players and remodel their coaching staff. Remodeling yess, but Defensive players NO. OSU Runs through the Big 10 through 2013. IF OSU lands PRYOR's Commitment look for a bunch of Offensive and Defensive talent to come to OSU in the Next 4-6 years. There goes Michigans Defensive Recruiting. OSU shows that they are capable of grooming Med level talent into top notch all americans. For an example remember the names D Andrea, Stan white and Bobby Carpenter? All were 5 star and 4 star LBs respectively. 3 star LB AJ Hawk was an All american and is an everydown player in the NFL. I know capernter plays in the 3-4 scheme in Big D but where are the Other mentioned? Look for alot of LBs coming to LBacker U. Remember tresell keep reminding players about that 41-14 blow out by FL do not expect similar or exceeding results in the PRYOR ERA. IF OSU lands PRYOR's Commitment I firmly believe that OSU will RAPE their Out of Conf Shedule Opponents for the Next few years (Hopefully USC can put up a good fight ) IF OSU lands PRYOR's Commitment, I would love to see tressel test the SEC for Recruiting and Game Scheduling. I personally Believe that the SEC has the Grimmiest Players in the world (look at Heyward ). We do nto have to play the LSUs and FL and AUB. But TENN, OLE MISS, SC and BAMA (not after 2010 they will be NASTY) are good test. IF OSU lands PRYOR's Commitment expect to see some scrutiny around and about the program. Yes it happens sometimes. IF OSU lands PRYOR's Commitment i cannot see how they will not be apart of the BCS picture every year. Expect Mich to change Coaches at leat two times (after Llyod car retires this year) During the Pryor Era. It is SAD to say that OSU will make Michigan their BIAAATCH every NOV during the Pryor Era. Tressell knows how to beat them using whatever talent is on his roster. IF OSU lands PRYOR's Commitment, look out for innovative plays such as Wishbone, spread, undercenter, off set I, ISO, Option, Draws, and other White board drawings on the sideline. |
