Big time visits resutls in high praise and weight gain in Baton Rouge. Here are some latest recruiting updates as of today.
This past weekend four-star TE Dion Jordan of Chandler, Az was hospitalized with 3rd degree burns. It is reported that Jordan was working in his garage with a shop-vac. A spark was ignited by the vaccum while someone else was working on a nearby car. Jordan suffered burns to his arms and legs. {mosimage} Juco DT's and teammates witnessed first hand the amazing game in Baton Rouge this past weekend. DT Simi Kuli and Justin Thompson, along with Juco teammate WR Corey Surrency all saw LSU prevail over Florida. Also in attendance was 5-star DE Chancey Aghayere, 5-star LB Brendan Beal, and Booker T. washington High School standout CB Brandon Harris. What did the boys think about their trip and the game? Kuli says he was fed about 20 times a day, figuring he gained 12 pounds. As his first official visit he gave LSU a score of 18 on a 1-10 scale. Kuli left LSU claiming the Tigers to be his favorite, followed by Oklahoma. Further visits are scheduled to Oklahoma and Nebraska with a visit to Texas A&M possible. Thompson rated his trip a 10 saying this trip will be hard to beat. He, along with Kuli will be visiting Oklahoma and Nebraska. Oregon and Cal are also players. Teammate WR Corey Surrency gave the trip a 12, saying he spoke with Coach Miles for an hour. Surrency says LSU is the frontrunner for his services, but that he will trip to FSU on 10/20. At this point 5-star DE Chancey Aghayere admits to being confused. Having previously visited officialy Notre Dame and Florida. Chauncey rates the ND trip an 8, Florida a 9, and LSU a 9. He recognizes a tough decision awaits him. LB Brendan Beal says hands down the LSU trip has been his best. Long thought to be a battle between USC and Florida, it now appears LSU has entered the equation. Beal is hoping to have made his decision in a week or so. Scout.coms #10 ranked cornerback Brandon Harris also enjoyed his official visit to LSU. He has previously visited Florida and ranks the two visits as even. Harris is scheduled to visit Ohio State on Nov. 9. He is also looking at Miami, Rutgers, and Oklahoma. he plans to take his 5 visits.
