Well, Mascot Hall of Fame that is. Lil' Red, the inflatable, lovable mascot who has been a mainstay on the Husker's sidelines for many years was voted in by fans during a 2 week contest that ended September 6, 2007. He beat out, now sorry about this JEH45, Ohio State's Brutus Buckeye in the final voting. Both mascots easily beat out the next closest competitor, Western Kentucky's Big Red.

All three of the famed collegiate mascots earned induction into the Mascot Hall of Fame. The three collegiate mascots will be joined in the class by the San Antonio Spurs Coyote and Mr. Met from the professional ranks. Officially, all five characters earn the coveted "Golden Silly String Award."

Yea I know guys, what a "useless" article huh. Well I just didn't have much of anything else to write about, remembered reading about this last month and just thought it would be a good, pointless article.
