I am totally, totally BUMMED out. My number 1 team has finally won a game and by virtue of that victory gets removed from the bottom 5. DAMN YOU ucla, that's right, you bruins don't even get to be capitalized, loosing at home to the golden domers. Also coming off the critical list were the Rice Owls, who were able to stave off Southern Mississippi with the help of 7 turnovers. The Temple Owls also squeaked out a one point victory and are gone. But there's no need to fear, other "totally horrible" teams are ready to step up and claim a spot. So here without further ado, is my new Bottom 5 Ranking.
On the outside looking in: UCLA, Notre Dame, Nebraska and Texas On another "Serious Loser" note; the number 1 & 2 teams on my listing actually play in the same conference, the Sun Belt. Not only that, but 5 of the 8 teams in the conference have a record of 1-4 or worse, making the Sun Belt, by far the worse conference in NCAA D-1 Football. WOW!

| It's hard to argue with that list but at the same time it took a tremendous ratings appeal hit since ND won. Oh well. I almost think that since they faced a 3rd string QB they should be at #5....but maybe you'll have to wait until they lose to BC and USC to do that. Can you say 1-7? Sure, it's not 0-8, but it still would have gotten Ty Willingham fired 3 weeks ago. | |
