Well, I hit some upsets last week and missed a few others. Now I'm back to give it another shot.
This week is stacked with great matchups in college football, so get out the extra-large bag of chips this week. Kentucky at South Carolina, 7:30 Thursday: Andre Woodson and his assortment of speedy wideouts will face the toughest defense they've seen all year. South Carolina's home crowd and D-line pressure will lead them to a close win. 27-21 S.Car Kansas at Kansas State, Noon Saturday: K-State coach Ron Prince will lead his team against a solid and under-the-radar Kansas squad. K-State QB Josh Freeman will be the difference-maker for the Wildcats. 37-20 K-State Wisconsin at Illinois, Noon Saturday: Wisconsin has looked shaky in recent weeks but has done just enough to win. They haven't seen many spread teams like Illinois, but their defense has fast linebackers and should be able to contain Juice Williams. 31-17 Wisconsin Oklahoma at Texas, 3:30 Saturday: OU was caught napping last week but has a ton of talent. Texas does as well but hasn't looked nearly as good this year. OU's stable of fast running backs will lead the way to a win. OU 20-16 Georgia at Tennessee, 3:30 Saturday: Phil Fulmer needs this game badly but so does Georgia. Both teams have a ton of talent but won't fool anyone with their bare-bones offensive schemes. In the end, Georgia's overall talent and Tennessee's lack of game-breakers at WR will be the difference. Georgia 24-21 Virginia Tech at Clemson, 6:00 Saturday: Clemson is coming off a pitiful loss to Georgia Tech while Va. Tech has been unimpressive all year. This will be a low-scoring game with the Death Valley crowd giving the Tigers a slight edge. 17-13 Clemson Cincinnati at Rutgers, 8:00 Saturday: Rutgers has been overrated for a while and last year's win for Cinci wasn't really an upset in my opinion. Cincinnati could be a real force in the Big East under new coach Brian Kelly. Their defense will shut Rutgers' one-dimensional offense down. 25-14 Cinci {mosimage}Ohio State at Purdue, 8:00 Saturday: Purdue has played OSU close their last few times, and they can beat the Buckeyes if the O-line gives Curtis Painter time to throw. Ohio State has a great defense but the secondary has a few holes. In the end, OSU's physical rushing attack will wear down a small Purdue defense. 33-21 OSU Florida at LSU, 8:30 Saturday: LSU's offense was shut down last year by Florida but it won't happen this time around. Matt Flynn's versatility and LSU's run game will put up enough points to win on an undersized and inexperienced Gator defense. 27-20 LSU Nebraska at Missouri. 9:15 Saturday: Missouri can put up points, but their defense is suspect. Missouri will come out strong at home and outscore the Huskers. 31-24 Missouri

You are doing pretty good on your predictions this year I think. I see you have Texas beating the spread but getting beat, hard to argue with that. Still, I think they get pounded. Cincinnati over Rutgers....I can't wait for people to try and call that an upset. Kentucky is ranked too high. |
