It's been getting sloppy 'round here. We are moving shop to Satellite Beach this weekend, from one area of Gator country to another, it seems. Still, much closer to the beach, so all is good. Also, our young business is basically going to be "house-sitting" for a few months--thanks to our lead programmer's (Christinamedia) home town friends. If you saw the pad, you'd know we'll be living the high life for awhile, even if a bit nomadic. Long story short, we were going to move to a townhouse thing and then this opportunity arose, where both parties benefit, and now we are going to be saving serious cash chilling at a pad we don't deserve.
What do we have planned for those next 6 months, give or take? Production and expansion. As some of you know we've been developing an "in-house" content management system and we've already built a few websites for clients (small businesses). We would like to open this up to writers and media persons or anyone interested asap. The software is incredibly easy to work with and the sites look great; we can't wait to getting into it further. With DeathRattle, we want to continue building out our writer network and overall capabilities. There will be many changes in our look and functionality in the coming weeks and months. Our writers have really stepped up to the plate and this enthusiasm is going to take us to the next level sooner before later. Much appreciated. Awards We have some "awards" planned that we will implement soon. Very cheesy fun goodness. But also, there are "bonus" tie-ins. So, we'll get that going asap. NCAA Predictions Itsofficul did his Week 5 Fearless predictions. He predicts a USF upset over West Virginia, among other things. Last week, I was 4-4. If memory serves me correctly, I was 4-1 in Big Ten games. It sucks because I was 3-1 in the first four games I predicted. I then wrote this big elaborate write-up how "I'll only predict a game if I'm totally confident" rant, then said screw it, and predicted 4 more games. Oh well, go big or go home As far as predicting the spread, I'm 1 game from .500. If it were not for SEC games, I'd be around .800. So, I'm only predicting 2 games this week in efforts to be on the plus side. Texas is 14 1/2 point favorites over Kansas State. The game is in Austin but still, KSU beat Texas last year. In their last 5 meetings dating back to 1998, KSU has won 3 of the match-ups and the two games they lost were by a combined 7 points. I thinks the boys in Vegas need to get their head out of their asses on this one. Texas wins but KSU covers. This game should be a good one. Could go either way as far as I'm concerned. Truth is, I have never been impressed by Texas before or after Vince Young. Great players but not living up to their billing right now. Texas- 27 KSU- 24 (still potential for over-hyped Texas/OU showdown) Ohio State is 23 1/2 point favorites over Minnesota Golden Gophers. Ohio State covers and wins. My only concerns are the health of Chris Wells and depth at runningback. But OSU beat the spread both times I predicted it, beat the spread every game but one last year and Minnesota sucks really bad. OSU's offense is really as good as a Buckeye fan could have wished for. Their defense rivals anybody elses in the country, including USC and LSU. Ohio State- 41 Minnesota- 13 and one more, of course.... Clemson is 3 point favorites over GATech. The games at Georgia Tech, but Clemson drilled them last year and are looking good. Georgia Tech will officially be out of the ACC race, while Clemson stays unbeaten. Clemson - 31 Georgia Tech - 24
Set as favorite
