The Cleveland Browns have spun the wheel and turned the ship around again. Today they traded Charlie Fry to Seattle for what is reported to be a 6th round draft pick. Charlie will apparently be the 3rd quarterback for Seattle. Of course this may serve to save the life of Charlie based upon the work of the offensive line against the Steelers and the game planning that has to be taking place in the defensive huddles of the next five opponents. The usual "undecided as to who will quarterback the team this week" against the Bengals is the current team statement.

The team has brought back Ken Dorsey to serve as a 3rd quarterback. The question of course is whether he is there as a backup for Anderson or as a coach for Brady Quinn. But the direction of the team may have become evident quicker than intended prior to Sunday. While Brady Quinn may not be the starter for the next few weeks, unless Derek Anderson catches fire and shows that he is an NFL starting quarterback, it would seem that the fans calls for Brady will be answered sooner than later. Unfortunately for Brady he will not have the team that Big Ben had in Pittsburg to keep him alive while he learns to be an NFL quarterback.

Fans of the Browns have seen this all before when the new Browns began to play. They had the quarterback of the future in Tim Couch and stated that they would play their veteran quarterback and allow Tim Couch to learn from the sidelines. Instead, they were forced to throw Couch in almost immediately and he was forced to run for his life. Since Couch had buckets of cement for feet, he was subjected to a WWE kind of beating missing only the metal chairs to the head. That beating may be why Couch is out of football prematurely.

The next question will be if Savage the GM and Crennel the head coach can survive this debacle. If fact, the afternoon host of WTAM 1100, has aired the comment that the owner of the team, Randy Learner, may elect to put the team up for sale if his current management team does not turn his franchise around.

Being in the stadium this next Sunday to observe the new but old course of the Browns will be very interesting. For the fans of the Browns hope may be fading and the Indians may have to serve as a distraction.

Spent some time with a serious Browns fan this weekend past and she believes Quinn will eventually lead the Browns to a Super Bowl. My crystal ball isn't that clear.
