Okay so here is my latest Poll after 3 weeks of the season. Biggest mover from previous week would be the University of California and Boston College who both move up 6 spots to number 11 and 12. Virginia Tech drops 6 spots to number 16. Oregon and South Carolina make their debut. I also switched Louisville and Oklahoma due to the obivious. Big game this week is number 1 USC at University of Nebraska.

Ok man i am an Ardent Ohio State fan. I bleed the scarlet and gray. But I will be honest OSU at No 6 is pushing it. I understand your logic. The top 5 played good games and there defenses was tested. For an example Miami vs OU, LSU vs VT etc. Louiville's Def is extremely leaky, Wisc struggled in there last game (so did we offensively). And West Virginia struggled. In all fairness I think that Penn St is better than us offensively and their Secondary looks faster. I do not know if it is because we played sub par opponents that made us look good. We struggle offensively, tressel need to stop that conservative crap and rebuilding bulshit quotes; "we dont have the WR talent last year to run the spread etc". He need to put those guys in the fire and open things up, If not he will be predictable. That pro style, two receiver set etc is predictable. He need to adopt stoops style of offense. Be free. We have TEs that can play line up 3 tight end sets, be spontaneous. A commentator said that OU offense has to be creative against stoops Def. If our Def is so "good" where is our creativity in Offense? To be real man we suck no creativity nothing. I did not know OU QB until this year, was stoops conservative in his Offensive plays because he had a new rookie QB? NO. We have receivers, let them catch. I do not believe that we are the number 6 team in the nation because of our opponents. 1. LSU 2. USC 3. OU 4. FL 5. TX 6. West Virginia 7. Penn St 8. Wisc 9. Louisville 10. OSU Another thing I firmly believe the SEC is the Best Conf in the World. They are fast etc (41-14) yeah. Why don’t we recruit heavy out of the SEC, why don’t we play an SEC team (vandy, SC, GA, Miss, Miss st) see where we are at in respect to team speed and not individual speed. I know a lot of SEC guys do not like to go north because of the Cold… but at least try. On Recruiting --- My God Ok tressel said that they need depth at DT ( Gobel nice pick up). Why Deshawn Whither has not been offered a Scholarship? LSU and FL is Recruiting Shawtel Rowel ( i do not know his name that well). Does that mean they see something that we do not see in the guy? Didn’t FL beat us 41-14 in January? Wouldn't LSU Rape us if we play next week? OK then make the guy an offer, put him on a training, and weight lost program to get his weight down to 285-300. I guarantee that’s what LSU and FL will do. Tressel need to keep up with these things. And is something wrong with Zebre Sanders? Are u kidding me? So what if he is a tackle OL are taught to learn other positions too. Add depth, depth helps rotation. I kept hearing about "mamoth tackle alex boone. He looked slow and tired against FL. Add more depth tressel. OH is OSU play ground. There is no way Ben Martin (last year) should have left OH. Tell him he can start or something once he is signed and enrolled give you can change your mind. Now he is at Tenn. Beachum should have been a Buckeye. Torrence is an athlete, he will not play RB in front of Saine, wells or Boom (shit he may play LB or Corner). I may be going over bored with my analysis but it is recruiting and other crap makes me upset about OSU. Sometimes I think we are over rated. Please do not get me wrong I know Big 10 conf prides itself on the achievement of its student athletes, but at times we need to get into the grimey recruiting bowl. The class of 2008 is Excellent RB: Devoe Torrence WR: DeVier Posey TE: Jake Stoneburner, Dilio OL: Mike Brewster, Mike Adams, J.B. Shugarts DL: Nathan Williams LB: Andrew Sweat DB: none K: Ben Buchanan DT: Garrett Goebel Prospective QB: Prior WR: Cordale Scott, WR: Michael Floyd, Fuller, Tate OL: Josh Jenkins LB: Shayne Hale DE: Willie Mobley, Quinton Coples ATH: Lamaar Thomas DT: Offer the OH kids OSU, recruit hard, play hard. Because next year against USC we will see how this conservative offense and so called recruiting stands up against them. |

| I don't know E, I think I got to give you another perspective-and remember, I was at the Debacle in the Desert. My rose colored glasses have faded a bit. The Jim Tressel era has become and presently is a Golden era of Ohio State Football. Is everything, and has everything been wonderful, shit no, but it has been and is pretty dam good. We are an elite program. E, look at Michigan and Notre Dame right now. Look at them through the Tressel era. Look at where Penn State has been through that time. Try FSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Alabama. Shit man, I am starting to bore myself. Kick back and enjoy. | |

No love for the Big East, I see. Rutgers and USF, both missing. Texas has definitely looked shaky. I picked TCU against them last week and it looked possible for a bit. This week against UCF I may pick UCF.......to beat the spread. Maybe... Ohio State is helped by an potentially weak Big 10. Then again, I tend to think that in college football, as soon as a conference (or team) feels perfectly comfortable and legit in their bragging rights, then that's when they fall flat on their face. Take the SEC for example. USF just beat Auburn. I watched Wisconsin beat Arkansas and Penn State beat Tennessee in their bowl games, yet everyone focused on OSU-UF(for good reason). There is so much politics involved in NCAA Football it's comical. For better or worse. The SEC may have numbers, but they sure as hell are not invincible. Not even LSU. By the way, does anyone in Michigan actually want to hire Les Miles? |
