New Orleans Saints vs. Indianapolis Colts The first game of the 2007 season, I'm so excited. The defending Super Bowl Champions will have their hands full with Reggie Bush and Co., but Manning will find a way to pick apart the Saints defense Thursday night. Colts 27 - Saints 17 Denver Broncos vs. Buffalo BillsCan J.P Losman, Marshawn Lynch, and Lee Evans get on the right track at home against the Broncos? Buffalo will have a tough time making a statement in front of their home crowd. Broncos 21 - Bills 13 Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland BrownsThe Browns open up with one of the hardest six-game stretches in the NFL. It doesn't matter who Romeo Crennell decides to start at quarterback, this team is in for a long ride. The Steelers will show no mercy in Cleveland. Steelers 34 - Browns 14 Carolina Panthers vs. Saint Louis RamsIf you're looking for a big time opening game statement, tune in to the Rams and Panthers game in St. Louis on Sunday. The Rams feel they are better than their 8-8 record from a year ago and will be looking to air it out against the Panthers. Rams 35 - Panthers 10 Atlanta Falcons vs. Minnesota VikingsBoth teams are in for a long season with less than impressive quarterbacks at the helm. However, look for this stinker to go in favor of the Vikings. Vikings 17 - Falcons 10 New England Patriots vs. New York JetsThis is my upset pick of the week. Defensively, the Patriots will be limping in East Rutherford against a Man-Genius led squad looking for revenge from last years wildcard playoff loss. Also, don't forget that it is uncertain of the status of Randy Moss and his hamstring for gameday. Jets 24 - Patriots 21 Miami Dolphins vs. Washington RedskinsThere are many questions coming out of both Washington and Miami. The Skins will have their entire offense on the field for the first time since Week 9 of last season. New Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron hopes that the acquisition of QB Trent Green is the boost this team needs. Nevertheless, the Redskins will give the home crowd something to cheer about on opening day. Redskins 28 - Dolphins 10 Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville JaguarsJack Del Rio trusts David Garrard so much, he gave Leftwich the boot a week before the season starts. Will that be a problem for game one? I doubt it. Vince Young will have his hands full against an aggressive Jaguars Defense. Jaguars 20 - Titans 13 Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston TexansI still cant understand how Herm Edwards lets Trent Green get away in favor for Brodie Croyle and Damon Huard. His mistake will show as early as the first games. Texans win one at home. Texans 17 - Chiefs 7 Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay PackersDonovon McNabb appears to healthy and ready to lead the Eagles back to the playoffs. I expect to see a lot of connections to Brian Westbrook and Reggie Brown on Sunday. Eagles 31 - Packers 14 Detroit Lions vs. Oakland RaidersI will be looking forward to seeing Calvin Johnson of the Lions snagging one-hand catches out of the air in Oakland. Too bad Jarmarcus Russell wont get to showcase his "first round" talent. Lions 20 - Raiders 10 Chicago Bears vs. San Diego ChargersI hear that the Bears are not happy with the Nike Commercial where Ladainian Tomlinson runs all over their defense. They should be worrying about which Rex Grossman will show up on Sunday. Chargers 27 - Bears 20 Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Seattle SeahawksThe Seahawks will step on the field with all of their weapons healthy. They stumbled into the playoffs last season and will be looking forward to opening strong in front of their home crowd. Seahawks 21 - Buccaneers 3 New York Giants vs. Dallas CowboysIt's always tough to play in Dallas, especially the home opener on prime time television. Sunday night will be hard for the Giants who will be entering the season without their safety valve Tiki Barber and an out of shape Michael Strahan. Cowboys 31 - Giants 13 Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati BengalsWhen these two teams get together, it's always a hard hitting event. The Ravens will come into the game with the best defense, but Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson will find a way to carve them up on Monday Night. Bengals 28 - Ravens 17 Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ersBoth teams are improved from last year and this game should be very entertaining. I just think that the 49ers will take the next step this season and it will start on Monday Night at Bill Walsh Stadium. 49ers 35 - Cardinals 14

I agree with all your picks except for 2. I still think that the Patriots will pull out the "W" in New Jersey and I believe that the Ravens just have too much defense for the Bengals. Hey has anyone else noticed besides me that the Bengals wear "stripes". How prophetic Huh? |
