Page 1 of 2 {mosimage} #3 Ohio State Tresselball should be back in a big way in 2007, but inexperience at quarterback and a slightly tougher schedule than Wisconsin lands the Bucks at #3. So here we go. The site's resident Michigan afficianado has gone ahead and picked Ohio State third on a site that was created by a hardcore OSU fan. Before you resident Bucknuts tear me to shreds, allow me to explain myself. First of all, let me say that I really like this Ohio State team. They are extraordinarily tough on defense as usual, with tons of depth at linebacker, a solid secondary, and a good D-line (albeit a bit light on depth). They also have the added motivation the blowout loss to Florida in the title game provided. {youtube}CZiJct6bI64{/youtube} And the offense is built to the exact specifications that Jim Tressel would want if he were to provide the blueprint for a mistake-free group that can run the ball and make key first downs, except for one small detail: the quarterback, either Todd Boeckman or Antonio Henton perhaps later in the year, will be inexperienced and face a road schedule that includes Washington, Purdue, Penn State, and Michigan. |
