From what we can determine this is a Buckeye update as of 08/23/07. Yesterday concluded with a surprise coming from the kicking scrimmage. If we were balling today, apparently, junior Ryan Pretorius would handle our field goal kicking. Last year Ryan Pettrey won the job, but at this time the competition is favoring Pretorius. Time will tell. Didn't think we would be breaking in a new kicker this year. Ray Small and Albert Dukes did not participate in yesterdays kick scrimmage. Small is not expected back for the first game. Because of depth issues at WR Grant Schwartz has been moved to receiver. He is the second DB to go over to offense as Devon Torrence was previously moved. Thaddeus Gibson has been taking some defensive snaps at DE. Very undersized for a DE, Gibson would bring serious speed around the corner. Robert Rose has been taking some snaps at DT while Cameron Heywood has been seen at DE. Donald Washington didn't participate in the kick scrimmage yesterday and Eugene Clifford was working with the 2's at cornerback. Tyler Moeller was back at linebacker from safety. Soloman Thomas and Jermale Hines both came off the field yesterday nursing dings of some sort. Alex Boone didn't participate yesterday. Why?
