{mosimage}Keith Wells Keith Wells commits to FSU. Wells is a defensive end from Georgia. Scout.com ranks Wells as the 21st best DE prospect nationally. Wells selected the Seminoles over Florida and Auburn. He is the 16th member of a real nice recruiting class. Question for you Seminoles. Isn't having 16 commits in mid August out of character for FSU? If We are correct and it is out of character, do you know why?

| It is most definitely out of character. Usually is sitting with maybe 2 or 3 commits at this point in time. With a complete overhaul of the coaching staff came an overhaul in the recruiting methodology, also. FSU may still have gotten most of these kids in past years, but they wouldn't have verballed until much closer to signing day. | |

It can only be best in the long run too. Attrition has been FSU's downfall, especially on offense, and securing committs early can help them focus their attention on getting guys qualified and making sure they can pin point less "at risk" recruits. Late verbals are awesome, but I'd like to see a study on success rate of late verbal to early verbals. |
