Comments: Manningham could have ruined his chances for a heisman last week by losing to Appalacian State and he could have been a hero as a result of he last second reception that set up the Michigan Wolverines for a winning field goal, that they missed. Either way, just one catch in the first half, damn.

Breakdown:

Mario Manningham is ready to explode this season. He came in with a whol lotta hype, as a Warren Harding High School graduate from Ohio. He has lived up to expectations so far.

Not overly big but he can be deceptively wiry and strong. Does not appear to be moving fast until he glides past DB's. He has great hands and is clutch. He has to share the spotlight with Seniors Mike Hart and Chad Henne. My guess is Hart would have to miss a couple games Manningham would would have to nearly double his stats to win the award. And yeah, Michigan would have to beat Ohio State for the Big Ten title.

Manningham of course handed Penn State their only loss with a touchdown catch with not time remaining.
