Pat White, West Virginia and the entire Big East conference are fighting for respect. Pat White enters the season hailed as the best dual threat quarterback in the nation.

For White to win the heisman, he needs to lead West Virginia to an undefeated season and a Big East championship and BCS title game. Plus, he'll have to outclass teammate Steve Slaton.

Their final game against Georgia Tech is an example of what they need to avoid; inconsistant play. They were getting killed but found a way to come back and when. The comeback aspect is great, but they need to play tough offensively and defensively to have a player win the heisman. It's just they way it works.
