Devoe Torrence is another another pounding running back who is also considered a top linebacker prospect. He commited to Ohio State to play RB and he certainly fits the OSU/Big Ten mold of what a runningback should be. He falls forward. He hits people. He can accelerate quickly through a hole. He hits people.

He ran a 4.55 forty recently at a Scout.com combine in Pittsburgh and had an amazing standing broad jump of 10'3", proving he is a running back with immense potential. Ohio State told Torrence, once committed, he would be the only RB they would pursue. His older brother, Devon Torrence, is another top athlete prospect who signed with Ohio State and projects at wide receiver or defensive back. He also signed with the Houston Astros and will begin playing with them this summer, while still planning on attending OSU this fall.

DeVoe has great hands. He will need to learn the running back position and show consistency if he wants to play RB early at OSU.

He reminds me of: Keith Byars - Great hands, bruising runner who became a great FB in the NFL despite foot injury.
