{mosimage} 7/31/07 It is being reported out of Columbus that TE Nic DiLillo has withdrawn his verbal commit to play for Pitt, and has committed to play for the Buckeyes.
The Buckeye tight end quest may be over soon. The rumor has it that TE Nic DiLillo will pull the verbal button for the Bucks. DiLillo is presently, or was, a verbal to Pitt after previously being a verbal to Clemson. It is reported that Coach Tressel recently made the scholarship offer. DiLillo is a Scout.com 4 star recruit, ranked the 20th best TE in the nation. The TE recruiting has been quite a recruiting saga for only being July. Initially The Bucks offered the Scout #1 TE Kyle Rudolph. Rudolph is an Ohio native who chose Notre Dame. The Bucks then did not offer Ohio native Brandon Moore, Scouts #8 TE, who verballed to Michigan. An offer then went to Toledo native Kevin Koger. Koger, Scouts # 7 TE also chose Michigan. After Koger, OSU offered California TE Blake Ayles. This Scout #3 TE nationally chose USC. Then the offer to DiLillo. Further muddying the waters is recruit Jake Stonebruner. Jake is quoted as saying he was recruited as a receiver, not TE, but Scout rates him as the #4 TE recruit countrywide. So I guess the present question for Pitt and Buckeye fans is what and when is the final DiLillo recruiting act to play?
