He surprised some by his committment to Nebraska over Missouri, but you have to wonder if he was just checking out the lineman who would play in front of him. Blain Gabbert seeing over big, tall and athletic offensive lineman, which makes him the perfect fit for the Cornhuskers.

As physically imposing as his stature is, he can also run with the ball. He can throw deep, accurately and has a 4.1 core gpa. Callahan got a good one in Gabbert.

According to Allen Wallace, who is the national recruiting editor of Scout.com of the 6-foot-5, 230-pound Gabbert: “He’s everything the program could be looking for in a quarterback.”
